Job Description:
Cententia is looking for a Quality Assurance, Configuration Management, Build & Release engineer. You will work alongside our development teams. We are taking very seriously our change management, build and test environment and we want to automate aspect of it. We currently use state-of-the-art tools to manage multiple codelines, integrate and build our software but we need you to help us do better, to become even more agile and deliver software systems of continually increasing quality to our customers.
Responsibilities:
- Managing, automating and improving our existing software configuration management, build, test and integration environments.
- Manual quality assurance of new features as they roll out of our development teams.
- Ensuring engineers provide functional tests and unit tests with their code.
- Continually improving our build, release and installation process
- Making releases of the main product line and managing the bug fixing process.
Required Skills:
- University Degree preferably in IT or Engineering
- 3+ years in SCM, QA and/or release management professional experience
- A working knowledge of source control systems. We currently use Perforce, although experience with other configuration management systems (CVS, Subversion etc) is considered adequate.
- Experience with build scripts (Ant, Maven)
Preferred Skills:
- Understanding and application of configuration management patterns when managing multi-tier, multi-component, multi-language product lines
- Ability to deploy and debug a J2EE application. Experience with multiple application servers is a plus. Currently we support customers on Sybase Enterprise Application Server and Apache, IIS. Although were are planning support for Jboss, Oracle oc4j, Websphere, Weblogic.
- Any experience with installation software (InstallAnywhere).
- A knowledge of scripting languages: Perl, Ruby, Python.
